Team Lead for the Market Data team. Responsible for handling the ingestion, transformation, and storage of Real Time and Historical data across all asset classes.

Developer on the Backend/Market-Data team. We own the full pipeline of ingesting and processing financial data, up to to the API's users rely on to access this data. Each supported asset class, e.g. Stocks, Options, Crypto, Forex, has its own unique requirements with respect to collection, transformation, and storage. As a team we align our values with our users, who above all else need consistent and reliable market information to test and execute their trading strategies.

As a developer for the Corporate Engineering team, I built and maintained systems that facilitated inter-team communication, access management for our 150+ SaaS tools, and automating processes for non-Engineering teams across the company. These projects involved weighing the cost & benefits of automation, integrating with Slack for "Slack-Ops" for alerting & triage, and creating pipelines around 3rd party APIs.

Responsible for triaging, diagnosing, and advancing customer inquiries with Big Data and Cluster Computing technologies. Cases often involved managing resources from multiple internal organizations, as well as managing customer relationships. Frequently documented product related issues in the course of cases for improvement by Engineering. Occasionally this resulted in making a personal code contribution to Apache Foundation projects. Contributed to internal training material to rapidly progress new hires into component experts.
