# Ian Lind > Product Design @  | MechE @ UC Berkeley | Regents Scholar Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/ianlind I am a third-year student at UC Berkeley studying Mechanical Engineering with a strong passion for pushing the boundaries of innovation. I am a recipient of the Regents' and Chancellor's Scholarship at Berkeley. I am currently working as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Jump Aero, where I am heavily involved in part design, component testing, and carbon fiber manufacturing. Previously, I worked as a Vehicle Test Engineering intern at Tesla, where I designed, managed and executed vehicle level tests for the whole Tesla fleet. As Aerodynamics Lead at Berkeley Formula Racing, I've honed my management, leadership and engineering skills, specializing in optimizing aerodynamic systems for high performance race cars. Some of my direct experience includes utilizing SolidWorks, Dewesoft Data Acquisition, Ansys Fluent and Mechanical, PDM, Matlab, and Fusion 360. Outside the garage and classroom, I enjoy playing the drums and guitar in my band, playing and watching soccer, and spending time with family. ## Work Experience ### Product Design Engineer @ Apple Jan 2025 – Present | Cupertino, California, United States ### Aerodynamics Lead @ Berkeley Formula Racing Jan 2024 – Present | Berkeley, California, United States ### Assistant Aerodynamics Lead @ Berkeley Formula Racing Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | Berkeley, California, United States ### Aerodynamicist @ Berkeley Formula Racing Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Berkeley, California, United States ### Mechanical Engineer @ Jump Aero Incorporated Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | Petaluma, California, United States ### Full Vehicle Test Engineer @ Tesla Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 | Fremont, California, United States ### Undergraduate Student Researcher - TAFLab @ UC Berkeley College of Engineering Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | Berkeley, California, United States Joined Berkeley's Theoretical and Applied Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (TAFLab) to work on designing, fabricating, and controlling autonomous ocean units to collect wave data for advanced routing algorithms and fuel savings within the shipping industry. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Mechanical Engineering University of California, Berkeley ### The Branson School ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/ian-lind-0532a2196 --- Source: https://flows.cv/ianlind JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/ianlind/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-05
