# Ian Robinson > Senior Software Engineer at Dailypay Location: New York City Metropolitan Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/ianrobinson Full-stack software engineer with 6 years shipping customer-facing features across mobile, web, and backend systems. I started on the frontend — React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL — and have spent the last few years moving deeper into the stack, now primarily building Go services and async architecture at DailyPay. I like working on products where I can see the thing I built in someone's hands. My favorite work happens when I can own a feature end-to-end: designing the API, building the service, and shipping the UI — rather than passing work over a wall. It's especially satisfying when it the finished product has a tangible improvement over the last version. I'm interested in connecting with teams building things that help people. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ DailyPay, Inc. Jan 2024 – Present • Implemented server-side rendered pages throughout our front-end ecosystem via a Go based backend-for-frontend with Templ templates and Tailwind CSS. This combined data fetching with page generation, significantly reduced network traffic to a single call and eliminated React lifecycle re-renders, resulting in remarkably efficient views that can be updated without a series of tightly coupled and highly distributed deployments between backend and front-end applications. • Developed an encapsulated service for all business logic pertaining to On-Demand Pay. The original business logic was approximately 10 years old. The new on-demand pay service enforces stringent business logic and re-implemented business-critical workflows for creating and validating transfers with a renewed perspective, meticulously designed to meet contemporary business requirements. • Built a REST backend for frontend microservice in Go to transition architecture from a Ruby on Rails monolith with a graphQL data layer to a mesh of microservices. This improved loading times for the client facing mobile and web app dashboards by over 10x, along with significant cost reduction and improved developer experience. ### Software Engineer @ DailyPay, Inc.
