Initially working on Amazon Certified program, and then moving into Amazon Wireless project for selling wireless service (primarily cellular service) of 3Ps, at various points partnered with Tracfone and Cricket Wireless, as subscriptions through Amazon. Mostly working in Java and eventually Kotlin, but also using various other languages as necessary. Some frontend work and reviewing, but primarily backend. Some things I worked on: 1. Implementation of backend service for 3P carriers to integrate with for facilitating service of customers. 2. Implementations within Amazon Cart and Checkout pages to support the digital subscription products. 3. Setting up load testing and CI/CD pipelines for services created by our team. 4. Backend implementation and designs for services and features. 5. Creating metrics, monitoring, alarms, dashboards, and runbooks for things owned by the team. 6. Worked with tech teams from 3P carriers to gather requirements and create/review designs for feature enhancements. 7. Oncall support across the board. 8. Design and implementation for integration with digital accounting systems, and sending accounting reports to 3P carriers. 9. Worked with a variety of AWS Services such as: Cloudformation, EC2, Route53, VPC, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Data Pipeline, SWF, SNS, SQS, Lambda. Some of the primary tasks I worked on: 1. Implementation & Maintenance for Control Plane backend services 2. Extensions & improvements to scripts for resource creation and region expansion 3. Creating and maintaining metrics, monitors, alarms, and dashboards across the systems 4. Improving efficiency, reliability, and simplicity of stack creation and definition in Cloudformation Templates 5. Contributing to creation of full CI/CD pipelines for code releases 6. Widget for mobile experience within Search page 2. Notifications mechanism for internal stakeholders to summarize badging updates of different products 3. Optimization & load testing for a particular backend service which had poor performance 4. Various tech debt tasks and improvements to internal tooling for managing certifications of products. ### SDE Intern @ Amazon Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Seattle Intern project for creating an internal operations dashboard to monitor and remotely interact with physical stations used for the AWS Import/Export Service. Needed to gather requirements from team members/management, propose a UX, basic system architecture, and then implement. Successfully created an extensible dashboard which was in use for many years (may still be in use to some degree). ### SDET Intern @ Amazon Jan 2013 – Jan 2013 | Seattle Intern project focused on contributing to an automated testing framework for the Checkout experience on Amazon.com in the browser. Primarily implemented tests using Java.
