The Boston University Software & Application Innovation Lab (SAIL) provides resources and tools to support computational research and engineering applications. It consists of a small team of professional software architects and engineers who work on specific software application projects. Projects can come from a variety of different sources such as private companies, public organizations, or the university itself. I have earned a spot on this small team as one of their student interns for the spring semester of 2017. I will be working with a team of other interns, overseen by a project leader, to build a web-based query interface for a data set describing the network of amicus curiae briefs filed in support of or against a side in Supreme Court cases over the past century.
