As a HackNY fellow, I created a tool to automate the scraping of energy demand data from utilities across the Northeastern United States and calculation of hourly demand from monthly readings, the first step in a machine learning pipeline that will enable better demand forecasting for a cleaner energy grid.

Developed Yellow Brick Code, a code education tool that aims to teach programmers how to write healthy code using static analysis (JavaScript , NodeJS , Express, HTML/CSS). I implemented a NodeJS module that performs authentication on JWTs and refactored existing front-end code to reduce calls to the Google Sign-In library by 80% with better use of cookies, providing a more seamless experience for authenticated users and reducing latency in the UI. In addition, I used JS-Interpreter library to execute code submitted by users in a sandboxed environment and developed a resource-oriented API to access problems, solution analysis and rankings, and users stored in Datastore, a NoSQL database.

Developed the indexing wizard for the Legal Works team, an internal web application that improves workflow for the Legal Team by creating a streamlined process for handling data requests. I worked primarily on the front-end in Angular and TypeScript, and did some back-end work in Java.

I also participated in technical, leadership, and community development programs at Google attending the We are GWE (Google Women Engineers) summit and volunteering as a teaching assistant for Python lecture in the Computer Science Summer Institute
