I support students with any technical questions they may have focusing on finding any gaps in their understanding. I help guide students to become autonomous by teaching them how to approach problems and how to find solutions.

I helped manage acres of native Hawaiian habitat in the mountains of Kauai. I would plant rare native Hawaiian plants, maintain fences, and control populations of invasive species.

I was part of the lawn conversion team, that helped transform lawns around San Jose to be more drought tolerant. I also helped teach volunteers how to plant trees during our weekly community plantings. I was also a volunteer coordinator, communicating with people about how we can work together to make the bay a little bit greener.
