In this project I used National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) imagery to digitize wetlands and calculate their size. This information was used to support policy that maintained sustainable waterfowl populations to allow for the continued hunting of waterfowl. The next project I worked on was in collaboration with University of North Dakota's History Department. In this project I designed and developed the original Historical Missouri River Website. This website contained spatial information about the appearance of the Missouri River and it's surrounding area prior to the creation of the Garrison dam. I also led a team of GIS Specialists in finding and creating relevant spatial data for the website such as georeferencing old topographical maps and digitizing contour lines to create digital elevation models. A third project I worked on was in collaboration with University of North Dakota's Department of Public Health. I led a team of GIS analysts performing spatial analyses to compare the location of possible environmental causes of illness with illnesses. For example, my team and I compared the location of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia to residential radon exposure and the location of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis to well water usage.
