Tackled critical accessibility barrier in Ai Pin — settings could only be changed via visual interface — and engineered comprehensive voice-control for all settings, enabling full device control without visual dependency and improving usability for all:
- Built settings services at the system level and actions at the app level using Java, Android, and AIDL for inter-process communication. 
- Integrated Regex, local LLM and GPT-4 to handle voice commands and disambiguation (eg. “connect to my airpods”, “turn on cellular data”).  
Extended internship to lead accessibility research.

### Software Engineer Intern @ Be My Eyes

Developed and integrated new features into Be My Eyes’ internal tools using Python and Django:

Innovated a solution to a data privacy business issue faced by a hospitality industry leader, leading a project to develop a new high-performance data structure using the LDAP API in C: 
The client’s senior engineers selected my solution for implementation out of the various company-wide solutions presented, impacting data management for the company’s 140,000+ employees.

### Summer Intern @ INTERNATIONAL VISION VOLUNTEERS

Interviewed staff and community members about how to improve the clinic, summarizing my findings in a report. Provided basic medical care and assisted ophthalmological surgeries.

(IVV is an international NGO that built and operates an ophthalmology clinic with a modern operating room in Zimba, treating patients regardless of ability to pay. I’ve worked with IVV as a volunteer since I was 16)
