I love to solve problems working with others towards new solutions and improving old systems. I am interested in a variety of different technologies including back-end web development, machine learning, algorithms and data structures. ⠀

I have been passionate about technology and programming since I was in high school. I have had the chance to learn about many different topics related to code, and I am always impressed with the new advances that continue to emerge. Some things that I am passionate about include neural nets, genetic algorithms, C++, FFT, Automata, SQL databases, algorithms and data structures, computer architecture, MVC designs, network technology, etc.

I spend time learning new topics regularly. I generally try to solve at least one CS practice problem a day.

-designing and programming a web API, in Python using Linux, Docker containers and Django, to display aggregated data related to legislation for the City of Oakland. Built web scraper with Selenium and PhantomJS and building a web facing search engine with Solr.
-Helping coordinate events and communication with other organizations.
-Worked with the city of Oakland to develop document containing business and technical requirements.

### Student Network Engineer @ Santa Clara University

-Worked on school's wireless renovation project that replaced most of the network devices throughout the school.
-Troubleshot and maintained Cisco devices around campus with high availability.
-answered over 200 customer help tickets.
-Wrote scripts in Python and TCL to automate network tasks. Cut down time for students to configure network devices in half from roughly 1hour for a dozen devices to 30min for over 3000 devices.
-studied 100 hour CCNA course after the job to keep skills sharp.
