•Early engineer working alongside founders to architect and build out core banking features from the ground up — as Dave scaled from 40,000 to 8 million users, from young startup to $1 billion+ unicorn.
•Led backend architecture and development of money transfers leveraging Apple Pay, Google Pay, and external debit cards
•Collaborated on system design of flagship bank product/checking account and released to more than 8 million active users, building several RESTful microservices at scale using Typescript, Node.js, MySQL, Google Cloud Project, Kubernetes, Docker, and vendor APIs
•Led language migration of mobile codebase from Javascript to Typescript+React Native to introduce strong type checking, which improved code readability and reduced production bugs
•Architected entire internal tools system used by 40+ engineers and 100+ employees in various departments using React, Redux, Typescript, Node.js, Express, and Webpack
•Integrated and maintained features using third party vendor APIs — Galileo, Synapse, and Plaid — for the cash back rewards engine and core banking services
•Designed relational database schemas in conjunction with feature requirements
•Maintained package dependencies for iOS and android mobile application
