I'm Izzy, a fullstack software engineer currently working at Academia.edu. 

Experienced in developing web applications using a Ruby and JavaScript techstack of Ruby on Rails backend with React frontend, PostgreSQL database, and deploying through AWS EC2. Familiar working in agile remote environments, with a strong aptitude for autonomy. 

Previously a forensic toxicologist. What drew me into software engineering is how it blends logic and creativity. Ever since I've admired the industry's constant drive towards improvement and innovation.

- Replaced a monolithic legacy API with a highly scalable service-oriented RESTful API.
