In this role, I continued my responsibilities from my previous team lead role, but also acted as the overall data migration lead for the entire program. In this role, I continued refinement of the accuracy and quality of the data transformations, while also coordinating with other teams that were consuming the data downstream. During this time, I revised the data migration plan and scripts to decrease the time for data loads for the first migration plan from 48 hours to 12 hours and from 10 hours down to 3 hours for the second migration plan. I also supported the migration of data and successful release of the new modernized application nationwide as well as the subsequent hypercare that followed.
In this role, I worked with the following tools and technologies:
AngularJS (1.X), Javascript, Java 7/8, JUnit 3, Maven, Spring, Hibernate, SQL (Oracle 12c), Liquibase, Sourcetree, Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Eclipse, Webpack, NPM, Jasmine
I transitioned to another program supporting the same client in November 2018. This team was modernizing the enterprise by automating processes that exist via a multitude of teams or various scripts that were causing major slowdowns for the agency. Our automation significantly sped up the timeframe for requests, namely the reduction in time of provisioning a RHEL VM from 60 days down to 30 minutes. During this time, I was also supporting another team with hotfixes to their production application that was being used across the agency. In this role acting as a lead, I was also directly interacting with clients and other teams to coordinate gathering of requirements and identifying processes that need to be improved for the agency to be more effective enterprise wide.
In this role, I worked with the following tools and technologies:
Ansible, Ansible Tower, Python, Javascript, React, Node, Webpack, NPM, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite3, Sourcetree, Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, VSTS
