While working in IBM, I was a software engineer for the DevOps Security team located in Cork. This was an agile team and scrum meetings were executed daily. My main role was researching and implementing continuous delivery automation solutions. I was working with tools like UrbanCode Deploy, Ansible and Jenkins to automated the delivery of new increments of software. Combining all of these tools I created a full pipeline. The pipeline being code changes in RTC (IDE) automatically delivered and deployed to the endpoint. My solution was then used by a team in the US and I helped in the initiation and setup. I also developed a REST based Java application to gather client information from an IBM SBS server and store this gather information in a CVS file to be read in excel by the team manager. I took part in an annual event called Hackday hosted by IBM. Hackday is where IBM employees can share their ideas and developments. I joined a team where we developed an Android application to bring an analytics tool to mobile. We then went on to present our app in the IBM Galway offices.
