Wrote and implemented all of our information security policies. ### PHD Researcher @ University of Cambridge Jan 2015 – Jan 2019 I worked under the supervision of Dr. Siân Dutton with the Quantum Materials research group in the Department of Physics, University of Cambridge. My research focused on experimental and computational studies of solid state electrolytes for application in an all solid state battery. - Dissertation (on solid state battery materials): A study of the synthesis, structure, and ionic conductivity of sodium and lithium lanthanide pyrosilicates. Supervised by Dr. Siân Dutton. Funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. - Wrote software to identify novel battery materials from chemical databases (Inorganic Crystal Structure Database). Discovered and characterised new family of solid ion conductors using inorganic synthesis methods (for application in solid-state batteries). - Wrote software to control lab hardware used to characterise the electronic properties of solid ion conductors (variable temperature electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements). - Supervised students: Part I Maths for Engineers, Part III Physics research projects, and laboratory practicals.
