Before becoming a Software Engineer I was a Veterinary Technician for 6-7 years in uptown Manhattan. It was a very fulfilling Job because being able to help is something that was very important to me, though being a Veterinary Technician didn't satisfy my need to be creative.

I started my coding journey with some self learning before attending the Web Development Fellowship at FullStack Academy, a special program with less than a 6% acceptance rate that allowed students without paying any tuition.

After attending FullStack as a student, I became a teaching fellow at FullStack helping students navigate the curriculum, giving one on one help and doing lectures when needed. Teaching them the NERD stack (Node, Express, React, Database, database being Sequelize/Postgres), and worked as a part of their admissions team administering admissions interviews to prospective students.
