Founded by the inventor of "Visual Basic" Alan Cooper 25 years ago, Cooper was one of the first user experience design firms in the world. CooperU is Coopers' Design Training and Professional Development arm. During my time at Cooper, it was my responsibility to increase registration for Cooper's courses, and build awareness about the offerings within the design community. Universe is an online marketplace that provides event organizers with the most advanced and social ticketing system. www.universe.com In my 3 years at Universe, the company grew from 4 to 13 employees. Given the small size of the team, all employees took on large amounts of responsibility and worked outside of their area of expertise. This included the redevelopment of the YPC Facebook presence, and the launch of a new YPC Twitter account to market and promote the YPC program and the ROM. I was the key contributor to the Twitter account to begin generating interest and followers, working with staff to develop the tone and criteria for comments.
