During the Finjan v. Sophos federal lawsuit overseen by Judge William Orrick III in 2016, I interned with Kramer Levin under partner, James Hannah. Throughout the trial, I learned about polymorphous antimalware systems and the backend of antivirus software design (and thus, how infringement can occur during product development). Observing the trial and the firm's efforts to defend their client's intellectual property taught me many things about intellectual property rights, patents, malware protection, and litigation/defense against unlawful use of intellectual property.
