TikTok TV Frontend

• Contributed to the TikTok TV app front end by launching key features, refactoring the codebase, handling on-call shifts, producing 200+ merge requests, and driving data-driven feature experiments with A/B testing and metric analysis.

• Boosted user login metrics by 50% through enhanced QR code and smart login notifications.

• Established the first component library for the TV Frontend team (Typography, Button, Icon) in React and integrated it into Storybook for designer access.

• Developed an age gate feature to validate and restrict access for guest users based on age and region.

• Redesigned and launched a new navigation menu, implementing a robust routing system, scalable components, and improving cold start performance with lazy loading and delayed rendering.

Frontend for Hive Search, Hive Chat, Hive Data

• Built the frontend for Hive’s Reverse Image Search Web app (imagesift.com) as the only engineer using React and Next.JS.

• Led the FE for Chatous, our chatbot messaging app, by scoping out features and communicating with BE/PM/designers.

• Developed an internal tool from scratch for the ML team to label and view the company’s Generative AI data effectively.

Hive Data Frontend

• Built, managed, and launched multiple apps from scratch including shako.ai, our standalone chatbot app, (100k+ users in 2 weeks) using React and Zustand while working closely with the BE team and executives.

• Added 40k+ code changes of new features and fixed lingering bugs on Hive Dashboard, Hive Micro (data labeling consumer platform), and the thehive.ai website during the on-call period in a swift manner.

• Improved the frontend performance of certain features by more than 20% in speed and 12% in increased user activity using concepts such as virtualization, memoization, lazy loading, LCP, and CLS layout shifts.

• Redesigned the nav bar on thehive.ai for both desktop and mobile responsiveness in React and PHP.

• Developed and delivered an internal search demo that showcases all of the company's products in a convenient Conversational Search UI similar to Bing while working closely with executives and the BE team.

• Wrote documentation, did code reviews, and took the initiative to discuss new ideas and technologies the team can use.

• Helped build a team culture by hosting a quarterly front-end sync to showcase the team's work and acknowledge teammates.
