In high school, I was chosen by our computer teacher to represent the school in an annual, national competition, solely based on my typing speed. My high school was in a small town and we did not have the resources to hire IT mentors, so I taught myself programming and won bronze, and then gold at the regional competitions. 
Since then, software development has been my passion. 

This passion carried me through an Associate’s degree in Information Technology at Incheon College. I was briefly required to put my education on hold, due to the mandatory military service. After serving two years in the Marines, I majored in Computer Science and Engineering at Incheon National University, to gain a deeper understanding of software development and IT. 

Here, I realized that I’d be able to develop myself and my skills more, if I worked abroad.  
So here I am. :)
