# Jae Park Lee > Software Engineer Location: San Jose, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/jaeparklee Hey there! I’m a software engineer with a passion for making a positive impact in people’s everyday lives. I’m someone who finds meaning in seeing the change and help I bring into other people’s lives. I originally found this to be meaningful when I was teaching in Korea and while I was working in different hospital settings. This passion and meaning in making a positive impact ultimately brought me to the tech industry as I loved the fact that I could create and make possible the different ideas and solutions that I’ve only been imagining to make something easier, more helpful, and better while being able to show my creative solutions. I know that being in this industry, I’ll be able to identify areas of inconvenience or areas that are a menace to people’s lives and help come up with a solution that will positively impact their lives. From my Hack Reactor experience, I was able to practice making different ideas come to life by tackling different challenges ranging from algorithms to full stack development and testing processes via pair programming, white boarding, and online presentations. During my time at Dealpath, I strategically planned and implemented innovative features, creating seamless solutions that enhanced the customer experience and streamlined workflows. With these experiences, passions, and knowledge, I hope to be able to bring a sense of meaning and motivation to the work being done by the team and bring the team closer together through having the same goals and a friendly positive attitude. I’m excited to be able to learn more about how I can continue to act upon my passions and make my creative solutions with the purpose of helping others into reality. tl;dr: I’m a software engineer who finds meaning in seeing the change and help I bring into other people’s lives! This role will have the SRA II assist the Biobank in updating their current inventory system; allowing for quicker and more efficient distribution of processed samples. The SRA II will be required to use REDCap and Microsoft Excel data software to store and organize samples. In addition, the SRA II will assist Biobank in reorganizing the current inventory system. The SRA II serves as the interface between the Clinical teams (Physicians and Nurses) treating patients and the Research teams requesting bio specimens. In addition to processing blood specimens, SRA II will catalogue all samples and store them in the Biobanks Freezer Farm. When samples are needed by the researchers, SRA II will be required to pull specimens and send them out; following Biosafety protocols for shipping and delivering specimens. The SRA II performs a variety of assigned standard laboratory procedures related to collection, transporting and processing of human bio specimens for research including but not limited to tissue, blood and urine. Such procedures include DNA & RNA extraction, PBMC isolation, cell counting and blood fractionation to harvest plasma and serum. The SRA II is responsible for entering collection, processing, and distribution annotations in the Biobank electronic database. The SRA II will review diagnostic reports and translate the reports into terms compatible with the biobank database. ### Referrals Clerk @ Asian Health Services Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Oakland, California, United States • Followed up and kept track of referrals to diagnostic radiology tests to make sure patients received quality care • Processed prior authorizations of referrals for patients to get approval to do imaging from insurances. ### Teacher @ Milestone Institute Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Seoul, South Korea • Taught elementary school students English through grammar, novel, writing, treasures reading, TOEFL reading/listening, debate, science, global issues • Created teaching materials and tests for classes ### Research Assistant @ Cornell Affect and Cognition Lab Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Ithaca, New York, United States • Set up multiple experimental boxes to run several rats at once • Ran experiments to gather data on the effects of altering the acetyl cholinergic system on attention in rats ### Research Assistant @ Sensigen Lab Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Ithaca, New York, United States • Set up and gathered data from human participants through saliva samples and surveys • Collected data to see neurogenetic sources of individual differences of responsiveness ### Research Assistant @ Cornell Linster Lab Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Ithaca, New York, United States • Calculated and pipetted different chemicals to create odorants for experiment • Set up/ran experimental box for data collection on the effects of serotonin on the olfactory system ### Summer Intern @ Queens Hospital Center Jan 2013 – Jan 2013 ## Education ### Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Biology, Health, and Society Cornell University ### Master's degree in Physiology, General Georgetown University ### Certificate of Software Engineering in Computer Software Engineering Hack Reactor ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/jaeparklee --- Source: https://flows.cv/jaeparklee JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/jaeparklee/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-10
