Founding Engineer of the Mail Monetization Insights & Analytics team - leading the engineering design and implementation at Yahoo. The goal is to provide ways to generate insights and analytics which can be monetized and help improve user experience. 

The engineering components include Lucene, ElasticSearch, Druid, Hadoop ecosystem (Pig, Hive, Mapreduce, Information Retrieval using effecting Machine Learning models and Integration with Yahoo Ad systems like Yam+, Gemini.

I worked with the Core Mail Middleware Platform team at Yahoo. 

I worked on implementing one of the most critical framework in Mail Middletier, that is Dynamic Configuration System using JMX technology - core requirement to control load, enable/disable features, increase/decrease connections and manage singleton resources without restarting JVM. 

Implemented and rolled out first version of Software vip across Middle-tier fleet of machines - making sure that 1) Hardware vip is not the single point of failure for transferring data across nodes.  2) Enabling HostAffinity

Overhauled the Asynchronous event processing application to be more reliable and scalable with ActiveMQ implementation of JMS protocol. Multiple subscribers could now consume the events independently at their own speed without affecting each other. 

I worked on implementing core Monitoring framework which enabled monitoring and alerting across fleet of machines. Implemented an instrumented version of transport client (both synchronous and asynchronous ) which monitors and exposes latency, failure, open connections all with help of JMX technology.

Some of the other exciting projects that I worked on include implementing Rest apis, Imap protocol commands, Optimizing memory utilization, Debugging memory/connection/file leaks via JVM tools and Performance Monitoring.

Implemented custom Voice XML interpreter in Java for Non Visual Web Browser. Added support for scoping of variables and Augmented Backus-Naur Form and XML grammar formats as per W3C specifications.
