I work on the entire development lifecycle from design to implementation to support on a number of different front-end and back-end technologies and have a passion for improving team KTLO and on-call processes. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Vanta Jan 2024 – Present - Tech lead of 6 engineers for an overhaul of Vanta's audit model to better match upmarket workflows. Prior to an Alpha launch, this project already influenced >$1 million in revenue. This project required interfacing across design and product on 5 different teams to build the feature set required. - Oversaw an effort to improve our on-call load. Reduced alerts by 5x through a combination of revamping our error handling, moving to more user facing, actionable UI components, and removing non-actionable alerts. All this while reducing the number of errors users saw on our page 3x. - Led an effort to improve page load times on our pages. Reduced page load times on all 5 of our owned pages by 2x while expanding the number of pages we monitored performance for from 3 -> 7. - Led a completeness and accuracy project that allowed our auditors to view source data for Vanta automated tests. This gave auditors more confidence in our tests, reducing the amount of back and forth comments and manual uploads required from customers. To date, this has been used by >2000 audits to streamline the evidence collection process. ### Senior Software Engineer @ Qualtrics Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | Remote - Developed solution integrated w/ ~50 Qualtrics product teams to move customer data for 175+ Texas customers w/ net spends of >$10M to federally certified StateRAMP environment, allowing them to continue as Qualtrics customers. Parallelized solution w/ Amazon SWF to see speed gains of >10x to meet contracted 24 hour move deadlines - Flexed in to help 3 product teams build controls to allow companies to limit the sharing of customer data in dashboards to specific email domains. Feature required for ~$1M in banking deals to commit - Lead department wide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reviews and share learnings across the department. Since sharing learnings across the department, incidents requiring review have fallen 2x - Member of department Senior Engineering committee to drive operational improvements. Built standardized templates for RCA reviews and project retros ### Software Engineer II @ Qualtrics Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | Seattle, Washington, United States - Tech lead and leading developer for ~9 months project building custom sampling solution to send specific numbers of surveys to customers to meet custom defined quotas. Built admin UI to allow customer to customize quotas and view progress to quotas w/ no Qualtrics maintenance. Solution needed for customer to sign >$2M deal - Delivered department wide tech talks on alerting, monitoring, and parallelization.
