My background includes both playing and coaching volleyball, which is a sport requiring close teamwork and coordination of effort.  No single person is the "star" - everyone contributes.  One of the most enjoyable things for me in volleyball was being part of a team that recognized the strengths each person brought to the court.  In addition, I liked the community that built up around our shared experience. 

At work, as in volleyball, I prefer to be part of a closely-knit team where everyone's contribution enables the entire team to succeed.  I find I do my best work when I can combine my enjoyment of working on a team with the use of my analytical skills.  I naturally gravitate toward organizing information and using it to solve a problem.

• Benchmarked and optimized database read throughput with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for a median query time of 0.007 ms in a database with over 10M records
• Introduced Redis cache for 92% reduction in average request latency, from 12.5 ms to < 1 ms
• Implemented server-side rendering on proxy server to enable search engine optimization (SEO) and high-performance full-page HTML caching

Helped manage, create, and close bank accounts. Led the integration for new acquisitions to EFI’s banking system. Created a step plan for future acquisitions that need new bank accounts. Built a monthly company-wide cash flow forecast and analyzed that data to set up hedges for intercompany cash flows. Prepared backup documentation for review by the Treasurer and set the foreign exchange rates for company-wide use.
