I led the creation of a new Snowflake-based data warehouse, enabling the company to efficiently manage and analyze large volumes of blood glucose data. To optimize data transformations, I introduced DBT Cloud to the organization, overseeing its implementation and managing the vendor relationship. Additionally, I prototyped the use of the DBT Semantic Layer as a backend for the company’s reporting systems and web applications.

As part of a project to integrate Salesforce and Tableau applications following Salesforce's acquisition of Tableau, I developed a connector to seamlessly link Tableau to Salesforce data. I designed backend models to store Tableau objects within the Salesforce backend, ensuring robust data architecture. Additionally, I implemented performance tests to validate that the prototype Tableau architecture met all specified requirements, demonstrating its efficiency and reliability.

As part of a small development team, I implemented backend service improvements by migrating to Kubernetes and developing incremental features for our diabetes platform. I designed a sophisticated data storage strategy that enabled backend data distribution across multiple databases. This included a prototype for transitioning our backend database from MongoDB to TimescaleDB. This work enhanced our system's scalability and performance while maintaining architectural flexibility.

Software engineer on the Open Planet API team that created a travel data platform for lonely planets digital media products. The Open Planet platform utilizes Json APIs within a kubernetes micro service architecture to expose articles, reviews, POIs and other data to interested third party clients.
