I started at Pico as Intern in the beginning of the Summer of 2018, after a successful summer internship I was extended a job offer as a Software Developer. Pico was an amazing experience to start my Software Engineering Career. I was exposed to highly time-critical environment testing my ability to create performant and accurate Network automation software. At Pico I was responsible for Trading Network Automation and QA. Developed a suite of quality assurance test services using Python, Rundeck, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, which improved the reliability of deployments and reduced the number of production outages. Implemented an in-house Python SDK built off Napalm to interface and normalize various network device vendors, improved the automation, QA and visibility of network devices. Improved QA time with the implementation of a Python service to trace multicast routes used for market data between clients and trading venues. Developed a Python service to scan network interfaces globally to redistribute unused hardware and improve global network configuration standards. Built a REST API service to interact with SecureSync grandmaster clocks to ensure the reliability of high-frequency trading networks.
