Senior Software Engineer at Dun & Bradstreet I Scala, JavaScript (TypeScript), HTML, Front End Frameworks (Vue, React), and PHP (Laravel)
As a Software Engineer at Atmosphere, our Monetize Team has thrived on innovation and agility, pioneering a new product, Shoutouts, from ideation to deployment.
Was promoted to the Monetize team after being recognized for my efforts and contributions to the Internal Tools team.
Used NestJS (Typescript) to develop for our ad systems to further increase company revenue by fetching and playing the most valuable ads from open exchange and also delivering on our direct deals.
Created a product called Shoutouts; I worked on this product from conception to market delivery. We developed this web application to allow customers to pay money and display an image of themselves and a caption to all televisions displaying our programming throughout the venue. This product was a Vue web app that utilized a NestJS backend.
Was the technical lead for integrating our ad inventory with various ad servers including Place Exchange, Google Ad Manager, and Hivestack. This increased company revenue day over day, by 10%.
Utilized DataDog, Looker, and Sigma to create visualization charts to prove effectiveness of changes and to monitor our systems for abnormal behavior. I noticed an issue related to ad delivery and in response created a DataDog monitor to alert our team if an unplayable ad was attempting to be delivered to our systems.
Upon joining Dell I was the first US based software engineer to work on the Global Supply Chain Management team. I started out learning and using the Scala language, AKKA, and ramping up on the audit code-base. I was able to implement some rules for the audit engine before a restructuring of the team where my focus was to debug current and future code. I am part of an initiative to create a small team in the United States, and am currently working with one new hire on a new project to aid in internal management. This new project has me working with Python and learning Machine Learning libraries such as Tensorflow. It will be used internally to assess failures on our cloud based systems.
Increase the descriptiveness and utility of the system diagnostics webpage of the Hyliion hybridization system. Changes were implemented on the company's 1.0 rollout.
