Emodo, an Ericsson company, combines startup agility with cutting-edge data-driven advertising solutions, utilizing machine learning and AI to optimize ad effectiveness. Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams and ensured our solutions were both innovative and user-centric. • Designed 4 proprietary CTV ad formats that successfully garnered interest from major clients in the retail, travel, and QSR sectors. • Invented a patent-pending AI and ML-driven DCO ad format that enables real-time delivery and optimization of multiple ad variants to maximize CTV ad effectiveness. • Coordinated a strategic partnership with Cint to pioneer CTV DCO based on direct household feedback through Cint's brand lift survey data. • Collaborated with PMMs, data scientists, engineers and sellers to translate concepts into successful product launches that scale. ### Principal Designer, Ads @ Yahoo Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 | San Jose, California, United States I launched Yahoo's new premium ad products that drove substantial revenue and worked closely with Monetization Product Managers, Engineers, and GM stakeholders across Yahoo Homepage, Sports, Finance, Mail, AOL, and Lifestyles. I also worked on ad campaigns for top Fortune 500 brands in the native, display, CTV, and DOOH space. • Led Yahoo's Ad Innovation efforts, driving end-to-end design of the "Edge-2-Edge" premium ad collection with 4 responsive display formats driving 71% increase in CTR and 34% increase in VCR. This involved competitive analysis, cross-functional collaboration, user testing, and defining key features and specs. • Reduced client friction by 20% from expanding Yahoo DSP’s native safe zone requirements and ensuring the update worked across major 3rd party publishers including Microsoft and Apple. • Enhanced Yahoo’s Homepage video ad performance resulting in a 19% desktop and 33% mobile click-through rate increase. • Mentored a team of 10 designers, led dynamic ad training, Figma team onboarding, and boosted team productivity by 3X. ### Senior Design Lead @ Yahoo (a Verizon Media company) @ Verizon Media Jan 2017 – Jan 2021 | Sunnyvale, California • Designed the Yahoo “Stage" Ad product (the high-impact full day takeover ad on the homepages of Yahoo, Finance, and Sports). Successfully pitched and secured millions in annual revenue from top brands like Kohl's, TurboTax, Audi, Toyota, Paramount, Southwest, and Apple. • Designed and launched the global Yahoo Ad Showcase gallery site. • Redesigned the global Yahoo Ad Specs site, enhancing user experience, navigation, demos, and responsive design for improved user experience. • Developed Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) ad templates for self-serve Yahoo DSP clients. ### Senior Design Lead @ Yahoo Jan 2014 – Jan 2017 | Sunnyvale, California • Spearheaded Toyota's Music Festival campaigns, creating rich media co-branded ads that included the first-ever live-stream concert through display ads on Yahoo Homepage and Tumblr. • Crafted highly successful Tumblr Sponsored posts for "Neon Demon," generating over 3,000 reposts and high engagement rates. ### Senior Design Manager @ Yahoo Jan 2011 – Jan 2014 | New York, New York • Drove display ad innovation with 2 new formats - a digital magazine ad and an interactive cube ad offered exclusively on Yahoo Homepages. Clients included LL Bean, Zappo, Starz, L'Oréal, and Verizon. • Created the Best of Yahoo Creative Reel showcasing innovative ads. • Designed Capital One Yahoo Login ads, resulting in an annual revenue boost of $22 million. ### Senior Visual Designer @ Yahoo Jan 2009 – Jan 2011 | New York, New York • Enhanced Yahoo’s Wallpaper Ad by introducing tabs that expanded ad space and boosted engagement. • Improved Yahoo's rich media capabilities by incorporating dynamic feeds from Flickr, Yahoo Local Map, Answer, and RSS feeds. • Clients: Estee Lauder, Citibank, SixFlags, Captain Morgan, Etrade, Old Navy, Hilton, Kraft, WB, Mastercard, MS Office, Nike, Tide, and more. ### Visual Designer @ Yahoo Jan 2007 – Jan 2009 | New York, New York • Designed Yahoo and P&G co-branded ads featuring celebrity endorsements (Lady Gaga, Heidi Klum, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston) for P&G brands (Olay, Herbal Essences, Crest, CoverGirl, etc.). Campaign reached 19M unique users, generated 100M messages via Yahoo's co-branded Instant Messenger, and drove 3M hours of engagement.
