# Jared Stigter > Software Engineer Specializing in Problem Solving and Technical/Non-technical Communication Location: Los Angeles, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/jaredstigter Problem solving and communication is my passion! I believe that communication is essential to successfully turning any idea into reality which is why I put as much effort into communicating my ideas as engineering them. My greatest strength is my ability to communicate with audiences ranging from the technical to the non-technical. I thoroughly explain concepts and ideas to ensure that everyone is knowledgeable about the decisions at hand and confident in those decisions' outcome. Aside from my experience as a software developer developing features, fixing bugs, writing tests, and collaborating in an agile team, some of my most unique professional experiences include: ▸ Designed a robust architecture for AI prediction service to improve AI product offering ▸ Evaluated, tested, and recommended cloud-based archive solution to reduce storage costs by 70% ▸ Consulted with project stakeholders to identify pain points, gather requirements, and present changes EXPERTISE Languages: C++, CSS, Go, GraphQL, HTML, Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala, SQL Frameworks: Bootstrap, Feathers, Flask, Jest, React, Serverless Framework, Vue Tools: AWS (Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3), Docker, Git, Neo4j, Serverless ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Circle Jan 2023 – Present ### Software Engineer Intern @ Ridgeline Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 During my internship at Ridgeline, I built out a new service to allow our customers to bill their clients. While following Agile practices, I collaborated to design the new service and then build both the planned backend microservices with Python and the user interface with React. This service leveraged an entirely serverless technology stack with AWS and was designed to reliably scale. ### Software Engineer Intern @ MathWorks Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 During my time at MathWorks, I worked on an application to give better insight into the way MathWorks’ open-source code is used while experimenting with cutting-edge cloud technologies for wider adaptation at MathWorks. While constantly communicating with project stakeholders, I developed new features and resolved issues in the application using serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and AWS Cognito. The most notable feature that I delivered was adding an OAuth 2.0 authentication flow to the application which allowed users to conveniently and securely access the application. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Beyond Limits Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 While working at Beyond Limits, I integrated into two active, agile development teams as a full-stack developer. My primary responsibilities included developing features, fixes, and unit tests in the frontend and backend using technologies like JavaScript with React and Node.js, Scala, Python, SQL and GraphQL. In addition, I worked on a wide variety of tasks spanning from designing an AI prediction architecture to researching cloud-based data archiving solutions. ### Foundations of Computation TA @ USC Viterbi School of Engineering Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 My mission while working as a TA was to ensure that the students developed a strong understanding of the foundational principles involved in problem solving and programming. To accomplish this goal, I led lab sections and hosted weekly office hours. ### Research Assistant @ Butler University Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 At Butler University, I worked on computer science research directly under a professor. I developed a novel difference cover search algorithm that reduced computation time by 99%, implementing and running the algorithm using multi-process C++ code on a supercomputer. Based on this success, I wrote an academic paper to clearly and concisely communicate the work I did. ### Product Documentation Intern @ Syntervision Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 At Syntervision, I spearheaded writing user documentation for Syntervision’s flagship product. I wrote 60 clear, concise articles that taught clients the basics of the application all the way to powerful and complex features. These articles included screenshots, GIFs, and highlights to demonstrate concepts and ideas. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Computer Science University of Southern California Jan 2019 – Jan 2022 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/jared-stigter --- Source: https://flows.cv/jaredstigter JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/jaredstigter/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-29
