Front provides an enterprise customer-communication platform. I worked on the Foundations Engineering team, which built scalable, resilient backend systems, and exposed them as an easy-to-use resource layer for application developers.

During my time, I:

• Launched our integration for WhatsApp Business Accounts

• Helped migrate our event-bus to Kafka

• Owned the adoption of NestJS for our DI Framework

• Built key integrations for DynamoDB and SQS

• Made substantial improvements to type-safety for the legacy codebase.

• Built new internal tools for developer productivity

In addition to launching new features, I served regular on-call rotations, where we monitored system reliability, triaged incidents, and coordinated with stakeholders for their resolution.

Good Eggs in an online grocery store that operates in the Bay Area and Southern California. I worked as a full-stack developer across the operations and ecommerce platforms. This supported 3x order growth over four years. Features included:

• Novel algorithm for warehouse work and job planning. This cut labor costs for order assembly by 30%

• Workflow engine for warehouse work alongside corresponding UIs

• Integrations with third-party systems such as a new warehouse management system, a content management system, and a user privacy system for CCPA compliance

• Refactored core order management system from a monolith codebase to a microservice architecture with event-driven communication

In addition to working on new features, after I was promoted to senior software engineer in 2018, I worked with business stakeholders to develop product roadmaps.

As part of regular on-call rotations, I monitored and ensured system reliability, and responded to emergencies when they happened.

Finally, I had an active role in onboarding and learning, with contributions such as:

• Hosted lunch/learn sessions for topics in warehousing and operations.

• Revamping our on-boarding presentation to the codebase and product

Blend provides best-in-class tooling for financial services across the country. I worked as a full-stack engineer to:

Extend key functionality in the workflow engine

Integrate with third-party financial institutions

Create new UI components in Angular

Developed internal tooling
