Jan 2015 – Jan 2019 | San Francisco Bay Area • Spearheaded new “Cash Tracking & Reconciliation System” to automatically reconcile all loan and merchant servicing money movements, provide cash insights to Accounting & Finance, and workflow tools to manually investigate and resolve any reconciliation breaks. • Architected, developed and launched the “Bank Ledger”: an immutable, correctable, auditable ledger that processes billions of dollars of transactions and stands as the source of truth for all loan activity on the company’s financial statements and custom loan sales system. • Directed a team that designed, built and implemented the “Loan Sale and Investor Servicing Systems,” which manages the complete loan sale lifecycle: eligibility, selection, verification, sale, reporting, and backup servicing. Effected the scaling of the system to millions of loans. • Collaborated cross-functionally with credit, capital markets, and legal teams to actualize the “Master Loan & Servicing Tapes”: an anonymized, denormalized view of all loans and activity to facilitate the efficient assessment of loan performance by both internal teams and external loan financing parties. • Provided key contributions to the “Loan Origination, Servicing, and Treasury Systems,” which coordinate the origination, purchase, repayment, and reconciliation of billions of dollars of loans. • Led the company’s integration of Netsuite, its wholesale conversion from cash to accrual accounting, and the completion of its initial financial audits & issuance of financial statements. ### EVP of Product / Head of Engineering @ AuditFile Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 • Coordinated product direction, vision, and implementation utilizing Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Memcached, and MySQL built on AWS. • Hired, trained, and managed the full development team, including software developers, DevOps personnel, and UI/UX designers, while actively contributing to application direction and development. • Brought a prototype application with only one beta user to market, and spurred growth to ~100 paying customers in under one year. • Interfaced with CPAs to identify pain points in their current processes, and subsequently led the creation and implementation of new features to improve their workflows and overall experience. ### Audit Manager @ Ghaffari Accountancy, Inc Jan 2008 – Jan 2013 • Managed all aspects of 25 annual audit engagements, including staffing, planning, review, drafting of full disclosure financial statements, and reporting to governance. • Worked alongside client personnel to identify key internal controls and processes, reported on any identified deficiencies or weaknesses, and provided recommendations and guidelines for improvement. • Directed the hiring, training, and supervision of staff and senior accountants. ### Oral English Teacher @ Jiaxing University & Wenzhou English First Jan 2005 – Jan 2007 • Independently developed an Oral English curriculum aimed at improving fluency and confidence for Chinese nationals.
