* Led, architected, and implemented a new ORM abstraction and database storage schema to solve Flatfile’s need to take arbitrarily structured data from customers and make queries, validations, and transformations on it in a performant way that removed the bottlenecks found in the previous solution
* Conceptualized a significant improvement to file parsing by finding repeating patterns and signals in unstructured free-form table-style documents (excel documents in particular), allowing the product to parse documents not designed for machine readability, instead aimed at being presented to humans
* Spearheaded multiple refactors to the backend with the intent of achieving clean, tested, safe and performant code at the core of the product
* Led critical aspects of the authentication protocol and general architecture of the rewrite of the client-side Portal product into a server-side scalable and secure alternative that would unlock further growth potential
