# Jay S. > Product Designer Location: United States, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/jays Hi, I'm Jay 👋🏻 I've spent a decade designing across industries — winning Eater NY's Design of the Year, building for Fortune 500 companies, and shipping an AI SaaS product from 0 to 1. Different mediums, same belief: good design always starts and ends with people. From Industrial to Product Design 🎨 Long before I opened Figma, I was already thinking in user flows. As a Senior Experience Designer, I was designing 3,500 - 9,500 SF wellness spaces by understanding how a person feels the moment they walk in — where to place heavy equipment so it doesn't intimidate, how to guide movement naturally through a space, how every design decision affects the person experiencing it. My industrial background also gave me years of cross-functional collaboration, bringing architects, engineers, fabricators, and Fortune 500 clients to the same finish line. I communicate across disciplines fluently, and I build with the end user always in mind. The tools changed. The thinking never did. Why Product Design? 🤔 Because solving problems for people is the most gratifying thing I do. When I'm given a challenge, I'm all in — taking notes at 2am, sketching ideas in my head, obsessing until something clicks. I love the full process: researching the problem, strategizing a solution, collaborating with others, and iterating until it's right. And it never really ends — that's what I love most about design. My standards come from years of Fortune 500 deliverables and digital machining fabrication work where a single pixel error meant a physical product failed. That precision follows me into every product I build. I want to create experiences that feel effortless — the way Blackbird does. Not just an app, but something people genuinely enjoy using. Outside of Design ☘️ I'm currently building Stampr — a digital stamp rewards app I designed to solve a problem I kept running into myself. Losing physical stamp cards, losing track of rewards, losing the incentive to come back. I've taken it from research and concept to working with engineers toward a testing launch. It's the project that means the most to me because I'm not just the designer — I'm the user.
