Implemented Pyspark data pipelines following an ETL process orchestrated with Apache Airflow or AWS Lambda using Python, S3, Glue, and EMR providing data for identifying potential savings in operation costs.
• Designed and led the development of Pyspark pipelines that consolidated all SMS opt-outs, avoiding potential fines of up to $70 million by introducing third party API calls and SFTP file accesses into the data fetch process.
• Reduced the time to board a loan application from 2-3 minutes to 15 seconds per application to handle increasingly more volume by deploying, maintaining, and becoming the SME of a microservice using Python, Jenkins, FastAPI, and RabbitMQ.
• Implemented a full-stack feature to automate payment extension processing using Typescript, React and CSS saving approximately $7000 per month on operational costs.
• Served as scrum master facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives to ensure timely project delivery and initiated team experiments to improve productivity throughout the sprint.
