Primary responsibilities included ETL (Extract, Translate, and Load) and reporting, exporting data from vendor files, verification of accuracy, creating and maintaining programs, database development, and data mapping to convert from multiple sources for consistent presentation in a standard format.
Key Accomplishments:
" Most notable achievement was using MS Access to design and construct a program which extracted information from the SQL server, exported to Excel, ran macros in MS Excel to format files, saved copies to permanent storage, accessed Outlook, and generated e-mail notifications. All done either fully automatically, or a user could review the outgoing e-mails, make adjustments to the information, and manually send the notifications. This program eliminated a process which took accountants up to two days to complete, and reduced the time to ten minutes or less.
" Designed and built the programs which governed the Sales, Operations, and Accounting departments.
" Converted inconsistent raw data from multiple different vendor formats into legible and usable reports that were accurate and beneficial for the successful growth of the company.
