• Designed and implemented inter-region proxy in Go, a critical piece of Snap Map’s new location sharing infrastructure that enables global deployment, effectively reducing latency between mobile devices and servers, as well as allowing fine-grained control over inter-region traffic and cost
• Implemented and debugged central components to Snap’s new real-time location sharing backend in a highly concurrent environment often dealing with over 100k goroutines per instance
• Created an IP address to country mapping service that serves gRPC traffic on AWS EKS and is already used by multiple servers in Snap Map’s backend
