• Key contributor to the launch of an FDA-listed ophthalmic test headset system (VS2020), developing both technical documentation to ensure risks were identified/mitigated and designs including PU cast and plastic accessories for AR/VR headsets to address poor visual acuity and optimize user experience

• Developed novel ophthalmic microsurgery procedures for single and multiple implantation of intraocular pressure sensors, optimized for compatibility with standard glaucoma and cataract procedures

• Developed ophthalmic products in Verily’s Ophthalmic Innovations Group, later split out into Twenty Twenty Therapeutics, a joint venture between Verily Life Sciences and Santen Pharmaceutical

• Designed & prototyped handheld optical interrogator for passive pressure sensor, iterated to reduce volume by 90% from initial benchtop design

• Led a team of engineers to design and produce a custom smartphone, integrating off-the-shelf and custom electronic components. Showcased at MWCA 2017 as the world’s first 10” folding tablet

• Designed and produced a series of haptic actuators, providing novel haptic sensations and industry-leading haptic fidelity

• Oversaw product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring manufacturability and performance

• Designed and produced a series of magnetic connectors. Showcased at CES 2016 and used to secure seed funding
