My career as a Junior Software Developer started in a strange place; in my sophomore year of college I took an Organic Chemistry  class. I fell in love with the strange language that looked like hieroglyphs but efficiently communicated structural information about molecules. As it turns out, what I loved most about the class wasn't the Chemistry itself; it was the joy that comes from learning a new language and the moment when something indecipherable suddenly makes sense. 
It was that spark that led me to start my coding education and I knew I had found my home, and eventually led me to enroll in the Java bootcamp at Tech Elevator. After graduating I intend to apply my love of logic and problem solving as a Software Developer, and I'm ecstatic at the thought of a job that will teach me something new every single day.

Graduated from Tech Elevator's 14 week full-stack web development boot-camp with 700+ hours of hands on coding experience.  Below is a list of projects I’ve completed during my time here;

Catering Management Software
• Designed and built Java application utilizing fundamentals of OOP for users to deposit funds, select
items, and receive exact change. Employed File I/O to generate inventory and write audit files. JUnit
tests written to ensure bug free performance.

Money Transfer Application
• Implemented a money transfer application which utilized Java, RESTful design, Spring Boot, SQL and
Junit testing in order to manage multiple user accounts, balances and allow users to send and request
funds from other users.

Logging Application for Rock Climbs
• Created a program that utilizes DAO interfaces to read in a list of boulders from a text file and allows
the user to create, update or delete boulders and then writes those changes to an updated text file.

Bicycling Web Application
• Created a website that utilized Vue.js, Java, PostgreSql, HTML, CSS, BootstrapVue and Spring to
allow the user to search for bike trails, as well as log rides and store user information.
