I managed the team responsible for the ingest and aggregation tier as well as the control plane which helps our customers dramatically reduce the cost of their observability data as well as improve performance.

I joined InDebted with the mission to build out the US engineering department. During my time at InDebted I:

• hired and actively managed the performance and growth of a team of 5 software engineers

• held regular 1:1's, quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews with team members

• successfully delivered custom API integration for a large BNPL client

• successfully delivered internal back-office tool greatly improving efficiency of the client support teams

• implemented a company-wide product support process and replaced a set of tools with a unified ticketing system

• designed and implemented career progression framework across the entire engineering organization

• designed and implemented company-wide OKR framework

• implemented RFC process to facilitate asynchronous decision making between engineering teams across various time zones

At Instana I was hired as the first engineer on the ground in the US and bootstrapped the US engineering office. I started in an IC role but gradually transitioned into an EM role as the US engineering team grew.

• hired and actively managed 2 large backend teams (Infrastructure/metrics monitoring and Kubernetes monitoring) and a sensor team (proxy and kernel instrumentation)

• held regular 1:1's, quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews with team members

• successfully delivered a large project where we replaced Instana's Cassandra based metric store with a custom-built metrics database

• successfully delivered Instana's Kubernetes monitoring

• successfully delivered Instana's Linux Kernel instrumentation

• implemented career progression framework for the engineering org
