Performed research and development for a next-generation voting system focused on security and auditability. Delivered several components that enabled the system to successfully undergo end-to-end usability studies:
•	A networked ballot box using a Raspberry Pi, integrated with a custom sensor PCB and programmed using C and Java to interface it with a secure voting machine network protocol.
•	A JavaFX ballot printing engine that renders and prints JSON voting records via a REST API.
•	Improved UI performance of a voting machine prototype by a factor of 4 by removing I/O bottlenecks.
