I was involved in a research with Dr.Kunda (Maithilee Kunda) in College of Interactive Computing last summer. We were doing data annotation from the videos about people's daily activities and also some special videos about people's visual attentions recorded by SMI glasses which can track eye movements and where eyes focus. We had a weekly meeting talking about what we can annotate from the videos and how do we annotate. For example, we were trying to develop a standard language to annotate those videos, like we can use verb and object  as well as a boolean or int (for describing a degree of attention). Developing such standards is for scientists better investigating through counting a verbs frequency to interpret how human react to a stimulus or pay attention to some events/activities. We try to think as a machine and frequently improved our annotation language. This experience makes me think about how technology and machines would help people to learn know more about people.
