Led the recovery of the maliciously deleted Faker.js (6.6M+ downloads/month) and formed a community-controlled team alongside 7 other developers from across the world.
Due to the media attention received by the project, I managed the community support and backlash we received in various forms. In response, I wrote an announcement post to communicate the leadership change that wound up in the #1 spot on HackerNews.
I also garnered buy-in and support from community leaders throughout the tech community (cross-language). I collaborated with Open Collective leadership directly to plan a cut-over of funding from the malicious author to the new team. I also secured funding ($10k+ USD) for the project from Indeed.
I managed the library's community and social media presence, built the docs site, and drove the new library's adoption.
Additionally as a team member, I participated in roadmapping and the technical vision of the project. All of this allowed the rest of the team to focus on coding.
