# Jimmy Mishan > Incoming Production Engineer @ Meta | CS & ITI @ Rutgers Location: Oakhurst, New Jersey, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/jimmymishan At 13, I built my first computer and got hooked on CS. Ever since, I've been focused on building things that actually help people and organizations! So far, I've worked at Meta, NJ Courts, and did a fellowship with MLH. At Meta this past summer, I worked on a company-wide metadata service that powers many internal services. I built a testing framework for a throttling service that handles 10M+ messages per hour and shipped 152 tests with over 70% coverage. I also fixed a logging issue that was affecting the entire system, which brought 9 health dashboards back online and cut duplicate code by 75%. You can check out my work at jimmymishan.com or on GitHub. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer Fellow @ Solana Labs Jan 2026 – Present ### Program Developer @ Major League Hacking Jan 2025 – Present | New York, United States Collaborated with MLH leadership to design and launch a Meta-sponsored Production Engineering Hackathon that attracted 1.5K registrations, 621 attendees, and 115 teams. - Designed a roadmap-based technical program covering deployment automation, observability, scalability, and reliability engineering - Built participant tooling and guidance to support teams in navigating challenges and applying production engineering concepts - Developed an achievement and verification framework to assess applied understanding of PE/SRE principles - Shaped event programming and participant experience, including speaking during the first day of the event ### Software Engineer @ Meta Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | Bellevue, Washington, United States Data Infrastructure - Storage Reliability, Throttling Safety, and Test Tooling ### Information Technology Intern @ New Jersey Courts Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 | Trenton, New Jersey, United States Modernized attendance processing/recording for judiciary events (10–20 events/year; 500–800 records/event) by replacing manual, long processes with automation and a pilot tablet app. Focused on data quality, reliability, and an easy operator experience. * Built an asynchronous Node.js pipeline to validate CSV/JSON, log invalid entries with reason codes, and post clean records to a case management system, saving 4–5+ hours per event. * Developed a tablet app for QR-based check-ins, building in duplicate prevention, offline storing (200+ records retained), and direct device uploads, removing the previous expensive record aggregation after events. * Added data‑integrity and access controls: atomic file updates (temp write → rename) to avoid corruption on failure, and password‑gated admin actions for deletes/uploads. * Verified secure API endpoints and downstream correctness with Postman; achieved 100% success across validated endpoints. * Participated in Scrum and cross-functional reviews; iterated UI based on stakeholder feedback and produced documentation/runbooks. ### Production Engineering Fellow @ Meta & Major League Hacking Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 Production Engineering fellow at Meta through MLH Fellowship.
