(Back-end: Golang) Support 10+ clients’ changing needs for the number of replicas, memory, and CPU for 50+ resources all at once. (Front-end: Typescript, React) Made life easier for clients to resize the resource, embedded strict type-checking with drop-down lists and input boxes to prevent users from entering bad patches to the pods. ### Undergraduate Researcher (Senior Thesis) @ Peking University Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | China Designed new eye movement experimental paradigms to test and measure subjects’ food sensitivity and body dysmorphic disorder which complements and refines existing ones. Conducted Machine Learning prediction to confirm the potential of the eye-movement data under experimental stimulus to predict the risk of eating disorders. ### Technical co-founder @ Nolibox Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Haidian District, Beijing, China (Back-end) Enabled smart matching involving 10+ sets of templates and 200+ materials for the key visual generation to reduce repetitive work of designer, developed a color palette generator with 400+ color schemes, and refined English logo generation replacing letters with icons with similar shapes and related meanings. (Front-end) Developed interfaces using TypeScript and connected them to the back-end service to bring the features live with a better user experience. Migrated 2000+ lines of Processing codes to Java and enabled smart matching involving 10+ sets of templates and 200+ materials. Nolibox is a logo maker and branding tool that can automatically generate customized logos (AI empowered design). We won the 2021 IF Design Award and the 2020 Design Intelligence Award in recognition of our empowering AI to design and the international impact. We also won the 2nd place in the 2019 Beijing Cultural and Creative Contest and the Gold Medal in the 2020 Hangzhou Industrial Design Competition. ### NLP Application Product Intern @ TAL Education Group Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Haidian District, Beijing, China Conducted competitor research for a word learning app based on speech recognition and E-Rater to help dialect speakers learn Mandarin. Wrote product requirements document, designed a new landing page, and partnered with engineering team to ensure deliverables were met on time. Walnut is a B-round start-up in children coding education with 650,000+ students. ### Undergraduate Research Program @ Peking University Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | China Designed and implemented a Scratch training program at No.2 Middle School in Changxing Town. Collected and processed data to evaluate the programming ability of 150+ students aged 12 to 14. Co-authored a paper published in Digital Education. Led a 12-people team to investigate tech education in the Zhejiang Province. Interviewed 20 professors, IT teachers, and school leaders to analyze the impact of including programming in the College Entrance Examination, and proposed Python training programs for high school students. Trialed at 3 local schools, all of which expressed interest in further development.
