Boosted the merchant payment platform (80K transactions, $50M/day) by building a real-time risk check feature for SMBs using Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS (Kubernetes, DynamoDB). Designed a high-performance, event-driven service hitting 10 TPS, streamlined AWS infra with Terraform and Jenkins, and mentored juniors while documenting APIs and specs.

Built Chase’s Tap to Pay/Smart Terminal product, creating a real-time payments streaming system with Java, Kafka, and Kubernetes to integrate WePay and Chase backends. Ensured seamless rollout with thorough testing and clear docs, hitting $1B TPV and 10M transactions in 2024.

• Designed and developed back-end and front-end services of a multi-sided ( web/mobile/Alexa skill ) senior chronic disease managment system that supports users to record, update, track and search their chronic diseases, allows users to set up appointments with doctors and generate disease reports.

• Designed a robust and scalable backend with severless design patterns and developed through Node.JS and SAM, managed data in dynamoDB, improved query speed by 35% via optimizing database indexing.

• Implement over 15 RESTful APIs and developed Alexa skill service using AWS API gateway/lambda functions SDK, handled signup/login using Cognito. Speeded up deployment with CI/CD tools by 20%.
