• Work with Professors and co-TAs to schedule meeting times, grading schedule, and feedback on student work/learning.

• Hold mentor hours for students in the introductory Computer Science course in Java. Mentors hours consist of helping students understand concepts in class and helping students develop crucial skills such as debugging and pair-programming.

• Hold Lab sessions where students start on their weekly assignments.

• Grade student assignments.

• Pair-programmed with the Health Coaches Development Team to build tools to better facilitate participant and coach interactions using Ruby on Rails and React Native.

• Worked with Product team on developing the front-end and back-end functionality of a recipe tool that will allow health coaches to share custom-built recipes to their participants.

The Code2040 Fellows Program builds bridges between top, college-level Black and Latinx computer science students who want to access the Innovation Economy and have been historically overlooked and companies who are in need of this talent. In the process, Fellows gain the network and experience they need to have careers in the sector and company partners learn how to operationalize diversity and inclusion with entry level candidates.
