Led architecture changes and maintained a React app with a Rails backend. Decoupled the frontend to improve CI/CD, tooling, and SPA capabilities. Migrated routing from a custom implementation to React Router, using an iterative approach to manage risk. Set up testing, linting, boilerplate automation, CI/CD, and Storybook in a new repo. Spearheaded the development of a theming system and component library to support integration with ADP and future theming needs.

Worked on a few different projects, usually in 2-week sprints, but occasionally using kanban. Developed new features for, and maintained a custom CMS the editors used for creating articles. The CMS was built on angular 1.X, scala, and mongoDB. After the CMS slowed down I moved on to similar development/maintenance work on an article curation tool built in a current version of react, with ruby on rails for the backend.

Managed a team of 8-10 developers working on angular & Drupal projects. Developed a hiring process for engineers, as well as working with them to create coding standards, release processes, code review, and architectural decisions. Besides hiring developers, and working high level on projects, I also mentored engineers and worked with consultancies on contracts & timelines.
