I worked on ActewAGL's electric vehicle (EV) charging station project. My work was primarily focused on EV charging station load balancing, which involved coding and developing new functionality for the back-end server that integrated with the physical charge stations.

Work included:

Understand previously developed code from the hardware supplier, that included Java Server (HTML + Java + JavaScript) and open charge point protocol (OCPP) in Java.

Added additional functionality to the existing server front-end. This included capability to communicate with live charge points.

Developed, simulated and tested algorithms that successfully load balanced charge stations through the server interface.

Provided comprehensive documentation ('a manual') that provided clarity to the EV team about the how to use/understand existing and added code. Also wrote a disaster recovery plan.
