# Joe Veltkamp > Product leader turning enterprise AI from experiment to operation. Building agentic platforms at the intersection of LLM systems, data, and business outcomes. Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/joeveltkamp I lead product at an AI-native analytics startup, owning strategy, roadmap, and delivery for enterprise AI platforms deployed at Fortune 500 companies. My background is in design — I was the sole designer on Salesforce Einstein Discovery and Einstein Prediction Builder, embedded with teams of 25+ engineers. That's where I learned that the best product thinking happens before anyone writes code. When I moved into PM, I took ownership of the full lifecycle: not just the experience, but reliability, stability, and outcomes. At Aible, I've led the development of an agentic analytics platform that helps large enterprises move from raw data to operational decisions. That's meant building agent architectures, designing governance frameworks for secure enterprise deployment, and working closely with customers to expand what the platform can do across their organizations. I still prototype — in Figma and with AI tools — to align engineering and stakeholders early and move faster. Previously: Salesforce Einstein & BeyondCore. Currently interested in where enterprise AI goes next. ## Work Experience ### Product Lead — AI Platforms @ Aible Jan 2021 – Present | Foster City, CA Own end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for an enterprise AI analytics platform serving Fortune 500 customers. Function as both product lead and engineering delivery partner, managing feature prioritization, release quality, and cross-team alignment. • Designed and launched an agent-based analytics architecture enabling LLM tool-calling across structured datasets, documents, and enterprise systems — directly contributing to a 3x expansion of platform deployment across existing enterprise accounts. • Built governance and safety frameworks enabling secure enterprise deployment of generative AI, including PII protection, audit trails, and policy enforcement — a key differentiator in regulated industry sales. • Defined platform architecture integrating RAG pipelines, natural language querying, and agent orchestration across GPT, Claude, Gemini, and open-source LLM ecosystems. • Accelerate product alignment by prototyping concepts in Figma and AI tools before engineering handoff, reducing iteration cycles and stakeholder misalignment. • Serve as engineering delivery lead and informal technical mentor, managing sprint-level deliverables and guiding engineers on product quality and reliability standards. • Collaborate with sales and solutions leadership to translate Fortune 500 customer requirements into scalable platform capabilities. ### Product Design (UI/UX) @ Aible Jan 2019 – Jan 2022 | Foster City, CA ### Lead UI/UX Designer @ Salesforce Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | San Francisco, California - Designed and lead the vision for a model operationalization workflow (model validation, deployment, monitoring and management) with Einstein Discovery - Guided the Einstein Prediction Builder team through a new model creation workflow redesign after their primary designer left ### Senior User Interface Designer @ Salesforce Jan 2016 – Jan 2019 | San Francisco Bay Area - Designed and launched Einstein Data Insights - Redesigned and launched the Einstein Discovery data exploration experience. This complete redesign improved wayfinding, navigation and insight clarity. ### UI Designer @ BeyondCore Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | San Francisco Bay Area BeyondCore is a small and fast moving startup that is building a B2B application focused on automating the world of data analytics. Being the sole designer at a startup has afforded me the opportunity to work on every aspect of the product design and establish a culture of design. I have had the opportunity to create a user centered redesign of two products from the ground up. The user testing sessions were conducted to identify the target market, establish their needs and identify opportunities within the product. Throughout this process I have worked closely with the developers to create a pattern library and design language that speeds up their process and removes the need to rely on a designer for most basic design needs. Other accomplishments have been project managing the relaunch of the marketing website, implementation of a design language by adopting tools that quickly convey design principles to stakeholders, development of the user personas, and the migration of the web application to a responsive framework. ### Marketing & Web Design @ TASER International Jan 2011 – Jan 2015 | Scottsdale, AZ TASER International is a world leader in law enforcement technological solutions. TASER seeks to provide effective and innovative digital tools through cutting edge user research and design. Managed the transition to a modern and lightweight video player to showcase our most valuable assets on the web. This increased time on page of most video assets by over 20%. • Analyzed the web trends and spearheaded improvements that impacted our targeted demographics. Improved product page layouts that increased time of page by >20%. Optimized user flows and form layout to increase form conversion by >10%. Used A/B testing and click tracking tools to analyze user intentions and increase conversion rates. • Currently coordinating a cross-departmental redesign of TASER.com through requirement gathering, user testing and content first design processes User interface research and design ( UI / UX ), web design, front-end development, email marketing, digital project management ### Marketing & Web Design @ Gecko Designs Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 | Missoula, MT A small and agile team providing custom web and print design solutions for companies across the US.
