Designed and built a process for adding asynchronous serverless workflows in AWS using CDK, SQS, Cloudwatch Events, Lambda, and S3

Manage MongoDB cluster in Atlas including schema design, search indexes, and constructing aggregation pipelines for analytical queries

Designed and implemented our Segment event tracking plan to help analyze user behavior in order to inform our future product roadmap

Set up alerts and monitoring across the entire stack with Sentry and Cloudwatch to ensure we are aware of any user issues immediately

Established engineering best practices across all projects with code review, consistent linting and formatting, testing, and security requirements

Worked with a specialized team to separate the shared AWS infrastructure for the company’s two major products JS Orange and Cobalt. We migrated the Rails API from EC2 to ECS Fargate and performed cross-region replications of RDS, Elasticache, Redis, and Memcached clusters with little downtime and no loss of data.

Led frontend development of the Downstream product as it was introduced into Jungle Scout’s product suite by onboarding, coaching, and mentoring new additions to the team

Designed and built a serverless notifications system (Email and SMS) in AWS (SQS, Lambda, Step Functions, Pinpoint)

Built the infrastructure for our data analytics API in AWS (Cloudfront, API Gateway, Lambda)

Contributed to our Amazon Advertising API data ingestion system (SQS, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, S3, Redshift)

Built an internal library that wrapped the AWS CDK Python library that was responsible for managing our AWS infrastructure, monitoring, and alerts
